Hash History
The Aquila Hash House Harriers (AH3) were founded in 1996 by James Ritchie (still an occasional runner today)! The AH3 is registered with the International Hash House Harriers (Interhash), which is organised by the Kuala Lumur Hash House Harriers, 'The Mother Hash' where the Hash found its origin at the Selangor Club in 1938. There are now more than 400 branches of the Hash House Harriers throughout the world. Each is an independent club with its own rules and individuality, but all are linked by a common bond of informality, international spirit and a desire to perpetuate the traditions of Hashing.
